Children’s Magical Taxi Tour to Disneyland Paris

The Children’s Magical Taxi Tour is a charity event organised annually by the Worshipful Company of Hackney Carriage Drivers, where a convoy of over 125 London taxis, ambulances, medical support staff, AA vehicles and police outriders (from both sides of the channel) set off from London taking 125 children suffering from a range of debilitating illnesses and life-threatening conditions on a trip of a lifetime to the Disneyland Resort in Paris.

The Southern Branch has supported the trip for the past 20 years and this year sponsored 4 of the taxis taking part. Our treasurer, Steve Wright, became for the 13th time an honorary taxi driver when he took part in the 27th trip. Steve joined the regular taxi drivers who gave up their time for free and this year Steve had the pleasure of looking after Aimee and her mother making sure that they had the best time possible. Steve has already volunteered for next year’s trip.
