93rd Anniversary Dinner

A wonderful evening was held at The Brewery in London by the Lendlease Guvnors Club celebrating the 93rd Anniversary dinner. Guvnors, Life Guvnors, Clients, Consultants & guests attended from both our Northern and Southern Regional branches with over 400 in attendance. Our National Chairperson Simon Gorski delivered his Chairperson speech, which was a great opener to the evening. Southern Branch committee member Henry Oleghe announced winners of the Guvnor of Year for both regions. The Northern Guvnor of the Year was awarded to Amanda Boyd and the Southern Guvnor of the Year was awarded to Kate Donovan. We also presented Life Guvnor Cans to Chris Howcroft and John Power. The Life Guvnor title recognises members of the Club who have retired but made huge contributions to the Club within their time in the business. A massive thank you to everyone who donated to the raffle this year and congratulations to the winners. We were raising money for Havens Hospice, helping provide palliative nursing and supportive care to people with complex or incurable conditions, and Mustard Tree, which provides support for homeless and the marginalised to tackle the root causes of destructive behaviour. Our entertainment for the evening was the impressive Jo Brand! She kept the jokes rolling and there were plenty of laughs around the room. Once all the formalities were finished it was time for everyone to catch up with old friends and make new ones.
